So, Sony wants you to spend $1,999.99 on a pair of binoculars...
But they are not just any pair of binoculars. Nope. These babies can record what you are seeing in 2D or 3D HD video. These digital recording binoculars (formally named Sony DEV-5 Digital Recording Binoculars) are equipped with 10X digital zoom and 10X optical for a total of 20X. They also come with image stabilization and the ability to quickly autofocus while panning.
We haven't been able to find a 3D video from the binoculars, but this one does show the amazing zoom functions nicely...
The device itself is very ergonomic; buttons are where they should be, and the viewfinder and diopter-adjustable are work very well.
Two grand almost seems worth it. Buy them from Sony here.
So whether you are bird watching, ex-boyfriend stalking, stuck in the nose bleed section, or just want a really fricken cool pair of nocs, the Sony DEV-5 may be for you!
