See Your Facebook Newsfeed in Pop-Off-The-Screen 3D Right Now

You've seen 3D superhero movies, you've seen 3D pictures of everyones cat, now what? Thats right - Facebook in 3D. Why settle for your usual, flat, boring 2D experience of Facebook when you could have your friends jump right off your screen (okay okay, thats slightly exaggerated). LG, the household name in the TV world, has launched a project called LG 3D Studio. The project is creating basically everything into 3D. No seriously, everything. Their slogan is "the best things in life are even better in 3D". The new project hired creative company Perfect Fools, based in the Netherlands, to create this online 3D Facebook experience. So how is it?

FREAKING AWESOME.

Its easy to use, intuitive, and really makes you realize theres more to this 3D world than Iron Man's fists flying at your face. The transitional animations are smooth, it loads fast, and the colorized blocks help you quickly identify which story is which. I am actually going to start using it on a day-to-day basis for my Facebook activities from now on - its that cool. But, theres one problem…

LG is known as the "pioneer" of passive 3D TV's (aka the ones with the glasses like you wear in the movie theaters). Active 3D TV's don't work with 3D Facebook, only Passive 3D TVs do. This is great for LG, but not great for everyone who wants to use the 3D Facebook newsfeed and still has an Active 3D TV. Which is almost everyone in the world. Yeah. You can still give it a try in 2D mode, but its pretty much pointless.

Overall: Its a super-duper idea that actually works too. But with no support (yet) for Active 3D TV's, a lot of people won't be able to use it. Try it out for yourself here.
