Sometimes random surfing leads you to the strangest places.
Wandering around the net, I stumbled upon this little gem from Atomic Cheese Cake Productions called Glory to the Conquerors of Space 3D.
The movie was filmed 4 years ago and in the story of a a lone cosmonaut, adrift in space on a long-forgotten mission, makes a strange discovery on Titan. This was the company;s first venture into the relam of 3D filming and was done while director Ryan Suits was in film school.
The video in s mix of live action, stop motion, micro photography and hand made models. There is almost no CGI in the film at all. I'm pretty sure that's what makes this so awesome. Not that Glory to the Conquerors of Space 3D will be the next Hollywood blockbuster heck, I'm not ever sure I followed the plot, but awesome in the way that only comes from the hand made craft of movie making.
Glory to the Conquerors of Space 3D has had a number of mentions including:
- Official Selection 2010 Torino GLBT Film Festival**
- Official Selection Slamdance Anarchy Online Competition**
- Official Selection 2009 Philadelphia QFest**
- Official Selection Sixth Ever International 3-D Movie/Video Competition**
Watch with red/cyan 3D glasses.
