Hovercrafts are pretty cool things. Riding a “Back to the Future” hovercraft? Way cooler.
Matthew Reise, a graduate from San Francisco, was so much fascinated by the movie that he built a DeLorean hovercraft from scratch.
Matthew put his project on Kickstarter few years ago and raised $5500 to buy the material needed to make hovercraft. The hovercraft can reach up to 45mph on water, and of course can drive on land too. Only problem is, he needs to go exactly 88mph if he wants to time travel!
The DeLorean hovercraft was seen hovering on water in McCovey Cove during a baseball game of Giants vs Rockies, thats where the above video came from. What a project!
