This video may have saved me 40 bucks.
Been digging around for a new game lately and heard some buzz the newish RPG Dark Souls, the follow up to Demon Souls, which was released back in August. Much of the reviews mentioned that the game was very difficult. Some like that sort of thing in a game. I suppose the greater the challenge the greater the vicotry is the attitude there. Although, when I'm looking for a game, I favor fun over frustration. Hence, I was leaning not to begin with. Then I found this awesome little 3D video upload by lumperior today, which sealed the deal for me.
Look, all for fantasy. Really, But video games, IMHO are at their best when they do not mimic real life, but augment it. However, a 50 foot grey wolf is NEVER going to lift a giant broad sword in its teeth as a preferred method of attack. Especially when it opponent is armed with the size equivalent of a thimble and needle. The wolf, is going to bite them and eat them. Just ask Little Red Ridinghood's grandma. It's what wolves do. Its what the childhood fear thing is based on. Messing with the whole wolf thing doesn't make it more scary, just more comical.
That said, the actual 3D content is pretty rockin' (at 1080p) so you should definatly click play. If you want to know more about the game, you can check them out here. http://www.preparetodie.com
