From a distance of over 300 miles out in space, two German satellites equipped with special scanners are making a 3D map of the Earth's surface within an astounding accuracy of just 6 feet.
I'll be honest, I didn't even know Germany had satellites. But of course, those forward thinking Germans figured out a way to fly two seperate satellities so precisly that they could make a 3D make of the entire planet. Take that Google Earth! (Actually, Google and Apple will have some catching up to do, considering both of their 3D maps only cover a few major cities).
