Wired is offering up a 3D Printing contest. Designs will be displays on the site with the Top Ten being made available on Shape ways for print. Pretty good prize, but not a new car or the like. Then again, printing yourself a new car would be a sure fire winner, so have at it. The max size will be 4in x 4in x 4in (there goes the car idea) but other than that, you are only limited by your imagination.
They also recommend one of these CAD suites for submissions.
